happy thanksgiving goldenrod - and to all your american readers. we celebrated thanksgiving quite some time ago here in canada so i'll tell you it was a good day. the food was good, lots of larfs, and good company as well!! have a blast - and a good nap!!! steven
Hi, Steven! When I was doing research for this post - in spite of being born and raised and having lived in this country my entire life, I was doing research - I found myself curious about Thanksgiving celebrations around the world, and learned of your (Canada's) celebration the 1st Monday in October (I seem to remember that date in one of the articles I read). I would have wished you a 'Happy Thanksgiving' if I had known! (Don't recall your doing a post on it - did you?)
Anyhoo, as I said, I did a lot of research on it, and instead of doing a whopper (or even a teensy) writeup on the holiday, just decided to go with the big fat turkey.
Will be in Pearland later at my friend Beth's (my own family is in California) - and yes, we'll be having turkey (amongst many other wonderful good and traditional food items - I'm taking a bunch of grape salad down).
Am going to take another nap shortly - have been up for going on four hours now - will set the alarm - picking up grape salad at 11 - dinner is set for 1:00.
Good to hear from you, Steven - warm thoughts your way.
