A neat thing

Do you enjoy the precision of silent drill teams? I do!

My friend Marty ("ucancallme") - from BBO - sends me one or two e-mails daily with enclosures or attachments. They're ALL great, but this one cannot (or should not!) escape my posting it today.

If you have about four minutes to spare, go here to see the routine our US Navy Ceremonial Guard Silent Drill Team recently used to win an international competition. It's amazing!

Goldenrod, Emily and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Emily even said, "Mom, YOU should put that on your blog, too!"

I think I will. :)

I'm finally responding to your comment on MY post. I got your instructions, but I'm still confused! For example, three posts back I referenced Gretchen's blog by creating a link. But when I go to her blog post there's no sign that I linked to it. I still need some assistance apparently! I think I'll re-read what you told me when I get home tonight...

The referenced link should appear on YOUR post, Bug, not hers! Which of your posts are you referring to? I can take a look at it and see if you actually DID create a link.

No No - I'm trying to figure out how to have a link show up on the other person's blog - so they'll know I linked to them. For example, if you check out this post of mine & go to the very bottom you'll see where your post "Ultrasound" shows up - letting me know that you had linked to my post: http://danabugseyeview.blogspot.com/2010/01/random-dozen-where-bug-reveals-her-dark.html.

WHICH post of yours, Bug? I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out what you're talking about!

I have no idea how to do what I think it is you're trying to ask.

I put the link in my last comment - just copy & paste it into your browser & you'll go to the post. But in case you can't get to it that way, it's the post from January 27, 2010.

I just looked through your last several posts, Bug. Your links are good. I have NO idea how to do the other! Sry about that. I must have misunderstood your original question.

I copied and pasted the link from your comment. "No such post found" was the message coming back. I went back through your posts and found the one from January 27th .. so much for Blogger connecting links properly .. again, tho, I don't see what you're trying to do that's not being done already.

Loved the drill team!
I'm also thanking you for the post about Wendy. I followed her climb so closely before that I felt like I was there. I'm surprised and pleased that she is going to try again!

Jacky, in preparation for another update on Wendy (in a couple or three days or so ... she's supposed to be going to Nepal the 24th), I've been trying to find updated info (other than the newsletter I received). It's not that easy. Google's not much help here. I finally went back to my old posts about her to get better links and was successful -- I think! :) At least they got me going in the right direction.

Supposedly, she's on Facebook, but I've never visited Facebook (and don't plan to the the future -- got enough stuff on my plate). I'll try to remember to note that in my upcoming post.

Like you, Jacky, I got quite involved with the struggles along her journey last year. I don't find myself as interested (at present) this year, but that might change as she gets closer to her target. As with you, I wish her well.
